Can I apply even if I don’t have previous security experience?

Yes! We will train motivated, capable individuals who meet our applicant requirements. Basic employment requirements include:

  • at least 18 years of age
  • proof of ability to work in the United States
  • ability to read, write and speak English
  • high school diploma/GED or 10 years of verifiable work experience.

What are some examples of where I could work?

AlliedBarton serves over 3,300 customers nationwide in a variety of industries. For example, we provide security service for commercial real estate, healthcare facilities, colleges and universities, financial institutions, manufacturing and industrial environments, the chemical/petrochemical industry, residential communities, government facilities and shopping malls.

Are there any rules on appearance?

Uniforms will be provided to you. Men’s hair must be cut in a conventional style, be a natural color, collar length in the back, less than half of the ear covered on the side. Neat, closely trimmed and groomed beard and mustache (if allowed at the client site). Men cannot wear earrings or other piercing while on duty. Women’s hair must be cut in a conventional style, be a natural color; if shoulder length or longer, must be pulled back for safety. Post-type earrings no larger than a dime may be worn. No other visible piercing while on duty.

If I get called for an interview, what should I bring?

Dress appropriately for your interview and bring your driver’s license, state, school or military ID or passport. You will also need to bring your social security card or birth certificate or ISN employment verification. If you graduated from high school or college, bring the original diploma or a certified copy or your GED. If you were in the military, bring your DD214 (Military Service Discharge).
